# Animation principles and polish

Use anticipation, continuity, follow-through, staging, timing, and easing only where they clarify causality or spatial relationships. Web motion must remain interruptible and preserve an immediate final state.

Prefer one strong orienting transition over several competing effects. Repeated controls need shorter and quieter feedback than onboarding or navigation transitions. Overshoot and bounce are poor defaults for destructive actions, data entry, dense enterprise workflows, and high-frequency controls.

Review the full interaction sequence, not isolated keyframes: trigger, response latency, movement, interruption, completion, focus, state persistence, and reduced-motion fallback.
